L’équipe technique de Caribix est arrivée à Saint Martin pour mener des réunions pendant la semaine du 17 au 21 octobre, et faciliter l’établissement et la mise en œuvre d’un point d’échange Internet (IXP), Smart-IX.
Il s’agit de la deuxième phase de la mise en œuvre du IXP. La première étape a eu lieu en juillet 2022 avec la mise en place du point d’échange Internet à Saint-Barthélemy.
Cette mise en service se déroule sous l’égide du projet CaribIX, qui a bénéficié d’un financement du programme #INTERREG Caraibes, cofinancé par le Fonds européen de développement régional de l’Union européenne.

The Caribix technical team arrived in Saint Martin to conduct stakeholder engagement meetings during the week of October 17 to 21, and to facilitate the establishment and implementation of an Internet exchange point (IXP), Smart-IX.
This marks the second phase of the IXP implementation. The first milestone was in July 2022 with the implementation of the internet exchange point in Saint Barthélemy.
The commissioning is taking place under the auspices of CaribIX project, a joint initiative which received funding from the Interreg-Caraïbes programme, co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union.
